Post-Operative Care
The Survival® Caregivers are trained to care for patients who will need help post-surgery. A Caregiver assists the patient in the recuperation period so that the patient can return to their normal routine as soon as possible.
Depending on the extent of the surgery, most patients will need ongoing assistance until they have fully recovered and can resume all normal activities without assistance. This is where a Survival Caregiver can be of help.
Post-surgery, there are many details to manage. It is important that the patient is comfortable, surgical dressings are clean, medication is taken at the correct time, and a patient’s immediate needs have been cared for properly. Depending on the surgery, the doctor will provide the patient with instructions that will need to be followed. These instructions may contain information on when and how the patient will get up and move around to maintain the body’s normal functions.
One of the benefits of having a home Caregiver is ensuring that the patient is comfortable, safe, and as pain-free as possible whilst in their care. Having the post-surgery support is key to reducing recovery time and helping the patient return to normal life quickly. Post-surgery support is the best way to ensure that your recovery time is quick and includes wound care, pain management, and day-to-day support at home.
